AK74 Type – characterized by a return to a solid plastic handle without a steel pommel but with ridges which substitute for finger grooves; and a return to a spear point blade with a very unique sharpening pattern and again no fullers.

Russian/Bulgarian AK74 Pattern – knife has a drop point (spear) blade with slot for use as a wire cutter and resin handle with finger ridges on the grip. Handle is resin from butt to cross guard and has slot for bayonet lug and there is no provision for a wrist strap. Scabbard is resin with a wire cutter attachment and the hanger is leather with a snap hook attachment.
